NarrowGate AI · one of four NarrowGate practices
You don't have to become the expert on this.
Everybody is telling you AI matters. Nobody is telling you which part of your business it should touch, whether it would hold up in a company your size, or what it costs to find out. That's the gap this closes.
Tell us where the friction isWhere this starts
Usually we're already inside the business when we see it.
We're doing operating work, and something surfaces. A process that eats a person's whole week. A report three people rebuild by hand every month. A step that only works when one particular employee does it. Knowledge the company has but can't repeat on demand.
That's where new systems, including AI, actually pay. Not as a strategy. As an answer to a specific thing that's costing you.
So this practice doesn't start with a product demo. It starts with a problem somebody already named out loud, usually you.
What you don't have to do
The part that's been stopping you isn't the technology.
It's that evaluating it properly is a job, and you already have one. So the decision gets postponed, and postponed, and then somebody sells you something.
- You don't have to guess
Whether it works in a company your size, in your industry, with your people. The answer to that is either yes or no, and finding out is our work rather than your homework.
- You don't have to evaluate vendors
Or sit through demos, or learn enough to tell a real capability from a good deck. We do that part and bring you a recommendation with the reasoning attached.
- You don't have to become the expert
You need the problem solved, not a working knowledge of the field. Nobody is going to ask you to pick a model or approve an architecture.
- You don't have to bet first
The work starts with what's actually broken and what fixing it is worth. If the honest answer is that technology isn't the fix, that's the answer, and it's cheaper to hear it now.
And you stop watching this go by. The gap between companies using this well and companies waiting to understand it is widening, and waiting has stopped being the cautious choice.
A person signs off
Nothing ships that we wouldn't run ourselves.
Every system gets reviewed by somebody accountable to you before it touches live work, and it gets handed over with documentation your people can actually use. The test is whether it still runs after we leave.
That's the same standard the operating side of this firm works to, and it's the reason this practice sits inside NarrowGate rather than beside it. A system nobody owns is a system that quietly stops working in about four months.
Who does the work
A team, not a referral.
We don't hand you a vendor list and step back. NarrowGate brings a team of people who build these systems, and they work with you and your people to develop the specific thing your business needs.
Custom, because the problem is. Two companies with the same headcount in the same industry rarely have the same bottleneck. What gets built is shaped by what the operating work already surfaced, not by what a platform happens to offer.
Robby D'Angelo and Brian Toelle stay accountable for it. You aren't handed off to somebody you've never met and left to manage the relationship. The same two people accountable for the rest of the work NarrowGate does inside your company are accountable for this.
Your records
How we handle what you send us.
Your records are never used to train a model. Not ours, not a vendor's, not anyone's.
That is a commitment about what we do, and it is the one part of this we can put in front of you before the rest is written down. Everything else about how your information is stored, who can reach it, how long it's kept and what happens if something goes wrong is being documented properly rather than described loosely, and it will be published here when it is.
Who this is for
And who it isn't.
It fits an owner who has a specific thing that isn't working and would rather have it solved than understand it. Most of this work comes out of an Executive Services engagement, where the problem surfaced while we were already in the building.
It doesn't fit somebody shopping for an AI strategy, or looking for a technology partner in the abstract. We're not the firm to call if the brief is that you should probably be doing something with AI. Come with the thing that's costing you.
Close
Name the thing that's costing you. We'll tell you whether this fixes it.
That's a short conversation, and the answer is sometimes no. Either way you stop carrying the question around.
Talk to us
Tell us where the friction is.
Your headcount band is all we need to start. Bring the problem, not a plan.
What happens next. Somebody who does this work reads it, not a salesperson. The first conversation is a call about the problem, and no records change hands at that stage.
We don't ask for account details or documents here. Once we're talking, we'll set up a secure way to share anything sensitive.
By sending this you agree we can contact you about your inquiry. We don't sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that run this site and our email, and only so we can reply to you. See our Privacy Policy.
